NATD Conference

From NATD:

The natd conference this year will be in September. You can find full details at our temporary website http://www.wlv.ac.uk/~in5127/natd . The conference will be held at Stoke Rochford Hall in Lincolnshire http://www.stokerochfordhall.co.uk/.

This year, as an experiment, we’re offering up to 30 day-rate places for MA & PGCE students at a heavily subsidised rate.  Instead of committing themselves for the whole weekend at a cost of £220, students will be able to attend for Saturday only, for a fee of £55.00. Students will be able to take advantage of keynotes from Dorothy Heathcote, Edward Bond & Paul Black – the leading thinker on assessment. In addition, they can select one 3 –hour workshop. Details are attached.

We’re doing this as a token of our support for the next generation of teachers and for those hard pressed institutions trying to fit a quart into a pint pot as they educate their students. We appreciate that this event will be happening just a few days after your course begins but there’s nothing like catching them while they’re keen!  I’m sorry that it’s so late in the term to let you know about this but we hope your admin team will be able to pass details on to your students over the summer break.

Students would need to book their places with natd by the beginning of September. They do this by emailing Kirsty Fechter at Kingstone School k.fechter@barnsley.org no later than 5 September. Kirsty will be on holiday in August but will be able to deal with all bookings in early September.
