Second World Conference on Arts Education

As you may know, 2010 is an important year for the UNESCO Arts Education programme as the Second World Conference on Arts Education will take place in Seoul from the 25th to the 28th of May.

IDEA 2010 World Congress changes dates

In response to requests from teachers in Europe and Asia and to avoid clashing with the world cup finals, IDEA 2010 will now take place between July 17-25. Proposals for papers, workshops and exhibition panels, early-bird registration and proposals for solidarity projects for solidarity support are welcome until October 15th.

MA Education with Trestle Theatre

Hello Colleagues,

I am delighted to announce the launch of a new MA at Middlesex University. We are working in Partnership with Trestle Theatre to run the:

MA EDUCATION (DRAMA)

Starting in September 2009 a part-time subject specialist masters programme designed for teachers and lecturers of
Drama, Theatre Studies and Performing Arts.

FEATURES
• A Unique MA Course delivered by staff from Middlesex University and Trestle Theatre Company
• All teaching will take place at Trestle Arts Base in St Albans, Hertfordshire
• Subsidised Course Fees for teachers with QTS

Call for articles

The “Education & Theatre” Journal is a peer-reviewed journal
published yearly by the Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network
which combines international theory and practical approaches to theatre/drama and education.
The contents of all previous issues may be found on our website.

The Editing Committee is happy to receive submissions of articles all year round.
However, the deadline for articles for the next 11th issue, to be published in February 2010, is June 20th, 2009.
