STIMULUS
1) Discussion - what do you imagine it was like in London during WWII ?
Whole class
2) Build the improvisation in the circle - different jobs people might have in & around London during the Blitz etc.
3) Air Raid noise - whole class react must run to the shelter freeze and thought track.
Small groups
4) In role as families if necessary set up a model first. A letter arrives informing them children must be evacuated. How do the families react ?
Spot Light 2 Families
5) Create the frozen picture at the station - saying goodbye to the children. Then thought track.
Spontaneous Improvisation
7) Improvise the children on the train. Hot seat 1 or 2 children in role - how are they feeling? What do they expect? What can they see out of the window?
8) Debrief the techniques we have learnt today.
